Possible Changes To EPA Formaldehyde Standards

On April 19, 2017, the EPA announced that the TSCA Title VI Formaldehyde Emission Standards for Composite Wood Products could be repealed, replaced, or modified pending review by the Trump administration in accordance with Executive Order 13777.

The EPA’s Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention will be hosting a meeting on May 1, 2017 to solicit input on Title VI Formaldehyde Emission Standards for Composite Wood Products, along with other regulations addressing chemical risk review and reduction programs. Additionally, comments on the regulation can be submitted to the public docket, EPA-HQ-OA-2017-0190, which is available at www.regulations.gov. The docket will be open until May 15, 2017.
