1996 HPVA Board Chairman John Tritch passes away

John William Tritch passed away Sept. 14, 2015, in Greensboro, N.C. John received his M.BA from the University of Wisconsin and his first job was at Boise Cascade in Independence. In 1973, John joined Columbia Plywood Corporation as assistant manager in Klamath Falls. John was very active in community and business organizations. In Klamath Falls, he served a term as chairman of the Hardwood Plywood and Veneer Association and was awarded Forest Businessman of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce.

In 1991, he moved to Greensboro to become vice president of manufacturing for Columbia Forest Products where he would oversee plants in Canada, Vrrginia, West Vrrginia and North Carolina. John retired in 2000 after 27 years with the company.
John is survived by his loving wife, Suzanne L. Tritch of the home; children, William Bartley Tritch of Greensboro, Dr. Todd Patrick Tritch (Hildur) of Eugene and Rachel Tritch Lewis (Blake) of Davidson, N.C.; four grandchildren; one sister; one brother; and numerous nieces and nephew.

A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church where he was a member. Condolences may be made at: www.haneslineberryfuneralhomes.com
